0 Goa in the 90′s was too beautiful to resist! By Manas Jain

Kundan Shah Directed and written by Kundan Shah again along with Ranjit Kapoor “KABHI HAAN KABHI NAA”  (1993) depicts and photographs GOA in a way never done before. The way this movie pictures GOA is way too commendable. The opening scene of the film, the titling, the story line and the characters are a direct interpretation of how GOA is and how GOANS live. The songs by Jatin-Lalit are to live for ever. The king khan has lived up to everyones expectations in this movie. Suchitra Krishnamoorthi has acted pretty cutely as well. The storyline where the father gets mad at his son and then finally accepts him though on the lines of a typical bollywood film is not shot the same way other movies were shot in that time. Eery scene wants you to get more and intrigues you for what the next scene would be. Shot way back in 1993, this film still remains on of my favorite for the way GOA has been shown and the music in it. A dialogue in this film by Satish Kaushik says “It feels like its a Sunday afternoon and we are on the country side under a tree and munching on some fresh strawberry cake”. This is exactly how i feel watching this film.
