Yes! I completely agree I ain’t much into Hollywood films but just couldn’t resist writing a review for this film. Directed and Written by David Robert Mitchell – “The Myth of the American Sleepover”, the film has won many awards! The movie is all about how the teens of suburban Detroit spend their last nights of summer at nightover/sleepovers at their friends place. The teenagers cross paths as they explore the suburban wonderland they inhabit in search of love and adventure – chasing first kisses, elusive crushes, popularity and parties where the relationships go off at strange tangents – and discover the quiet moments that will later resonate as the best in their youth. There is this one character Scott (played by Brett Jacobsen) who rather than partying is in search of a pair of twins on whom he had a crush in high-school. This film has a lot of emotions including romance, affection, drama, hatred along with a few misunderstandings amongst the characters. The most amazing character in this film and the one I liked a lot is the character Maggie (played by Claire Sloma) of a cute attractive blonde, wearing a lot of studs on her face. All-in-all its another American film portraying the American lifestyle the actual way!
